Anyone in the world By Rivky Shimon There is an artist within us all. It is dying to get out and do something for itself. But, life gets in our way too many times and we pass up the chance to explore our world, explore ourselves and reach a more fulfilling purpose. Life has a way of getting in our way. It even devalues us at times. You would need to think about that for a second in order to fully comprehend it. Life forces us to make choices. To work or to play is the main theme. When we were kids, the choice was simple. We were going to play! But as we grow into adulthood, we find ourselves taking the other choice. We choose to work. We have bills to pay, mouths to feed. We need that paycheck. But, how good would it be to play? As we work and work with no light at the end of the tunnel, we are taking value away from our own lives. You may look at it as adding value. You are acquiring things. You are saving money. You are building a life for yourself that you can be proud you earned. But, youre not enjoying that life that much if you stop to think about it. You are working so hard for it that you hardly have time to stop and enjoy it. Im glad my work is in art. But, I can relate to those of you who have too much on your plate to see over it. I can relate to those of you who wonder where you are going to find the time. Taking the kids to soccer practice after work. Running errands until dinner. Making dinner. Getting the kids ready for bed and making sure they have their homework finished. I can relate. And if you are single, your life is no less stressful. You actually might even work more hours, cutting into the amount of hours you have available to you. And you have errands you have to run as well. I know and I understand all this. So, lets try a few things. They will enrich your life. Think about all the activities throughout your day that dont add enrichment to your life at all. Sitting in front of the television might be a nice time to relax. But, theres time. On a Saturday morning when the kids are still asleep, because we all know how late they can sleep, theres time. Of course, you have to read the paper. Of course, you should get yourself a cup of coffee. Then, take your time to do something artistic. Its basically any time you choose to relax. No body can keep moving forward without ever taking time to rest. It will burnout. It will lose speed. It just might stop altogether. So, you need to take that time. Art is not only a creative recreational activity, but it also gives you energy. Your mind is renewed. It has just explored fairly new avenues where it hardly gets to go. It has wiped the cobwebs from that part of your brain. Now you are rejuvenated like you just gave life to a spirit that was slowly fading into oblivion. Art conquers many things, but it doesnt conquer us. It can overcome the desire to quit on life. It can overcome the restrained feeling we often get from life. But, it is a life giving force. When you take that brush in hand, you come alive. And you need that in your life. So, find the time. An internationally known artist as well as a mother of six, Rivky Shimon founded Rivkys Art Workshop in New York. Rivkys step-by-step method for teaching children how to create and enjoy art has earned high praise from students, teachers and parents alike. Through her new training series, Rivky plans to teach artists from across the country how to duplicate her success. Anyone in the world By Greg Ryan Gastric bypass surgeries are temporary physical fixes to a long term head problem!
If you think the surgery is a cure all, think again. The crazy thing is people are
gaining weight on purpose so they can be qualified to even be considered for the
surgery. How sick is that? My Aunt had gastric bypass surgery last year. She was so excited about her new
body that she was going to get after the surgery. She just could not wait for her new
life to begin. This was an answer to her prayers. So she thought! Up until then, my aunt had not exercised a day in her life. Never followed a sensible
eating plan, nor did she want to. By the looks of it, none of my family had ever
sacrificed anything in the way of food. The doctors had boosted her up; her
children were totally delusional about their mom's weight and danced around the
issue so much my aunt was in total denial. And guess what? True to form, she
gained the weight back in eight months. Why? The answer is; you can not build a house on a foundation made of sand. If you do
not deal with what is underneath the surface in your emotional behavior toward
your eating and exercise, you will go right back to the beginning, no matter what
you take out or do to your body. Surgery or no surgery, there is no cure all for being
overweight. Well, there is but do you want to hear it? Here it is: 1. Decide how you are motivated. 2. Determine your underlying reasons for your eating and exercise behaviors or
lack of. 3. Develop the best support system for you. 4. Deal with the emotions behind your food patterns. 5. Dedicate yourself to an exercise program. Ok, maybe the surgery works in the short run. And maybe that will buy you some
time and gives you some inspiration to start exercising and eating better. However,
it is not means to the end! It does not do any good for your head, maybe your
stomach. If you do decide to have the surgery, please understand that with out deep
changes in your thought process the gastric bypass surgery will not stick. Greg Ryan is a high profile fitness expert and former employee of Kathy Smiths. Anyone in the world By Paul Wonning Deciduous trees are trees which shed their leaves annually. In North America, especially in the east, this annual leaf drop is first signaled by a color change in the leaves. The color changes in the leaves create a spectacular mosaic of color in the forested regions. Leaf drop in deciduous trees is a process botanists call abscission. This comes from a Latin term meaning to cut off. This process is controlled in trees by two substances, a gas called ethylene and abscisic acid, both released by the tree. The release of these substances is controlled by changes in the length of the day and temperature. As the day length shortens in the autumn and the temperature cools these substances become more active. Acting in concert with this, another substance called auxin becomes less active. During the spring and summer months the leaf produces auxin, which has the effect of keeping the leaf attached to the trees. The lower temperatures of autumn and shorter days cause the leaf to produce less auxin, loosening the grip the leaf has on the tree. This is accompanied by chlorophyll breaking down. Chlorophyll is the green pigment in the tree leaf which is responsible for a process called photosynthesis, which is responsible for the conversion of sunlight into food for the tree. Other pigments present in the leaf now become visible, giving the leaf its spectacular fall color. In a fairly short period of time, the leaf falls from the tree and the tree goes to sleep for the winter. Each fall deciduous trees of North American create a spectacular show as the leaves change color in anticipation of winter. The cooler temperatures and shorter days which trigger this change are harbingers of the coming cold of winter. The delicious weather of autumn is an encouragement to go out into the country to drive, picnic, hike, or any other outdoor activity. The good weather isnt going to last, so get out and enjoy it now! 2006

Anyone in the world By Steve McArthur The Kirby vacuum cleaner, along with the Rainbow vacuum and the Thermax vacuum were instrumental in changing the way people in American clean their carpets. In the old days before the vacuum cleaner was invented, people had several different ways to get their rugs clean. Remember the old rug beaters? A rug beater was very simple to use. All you had to do was take your dirty old rug outside and hang it on some suitable length of rope or wire. Generally, you would find that everyone used the clothes line. If you are under 30 years old you may be scratching your head and saying to yourself, "what's a clothes line?". A clothes line was simply a small rope strung out between two poles or posts. It was then used to hang wet clothes on, in an orderly fashion, in the hopes that the cloudly overcast would go away and let some of the bright sunshine in on your wet clothes. Hanging wet clothes out on a clothes line was also used to control the weather in some regions of the country. If your city had been experiencing a drought, all you had to do was let the laundry get almost dry and it was a sure fire way to make it rain. Back to the dirty rug. After hanging your diry rug on the clothes line (remember, the Kirby vacuum cleaner hadn't been invented yet) you simply take your son's old baseball bat and beat the dickens out of the rug. Seemly endless clouds of dust will appear and cover you and every thing in your back yard with black powder. At this point you need to hang some wet clothes on the clothes line so that at least you will get a shower to settle the dust. Which, now that I think about it would solve your dirty rug problem too. Anyone in the world By Candye Hinton Marketing is something that we do to let people know what products we have to offer. Selling is something that we do to show people that the products we have to offer are of value to them. In the high tech world of today, much of what we consider marketing is very inconspicuous. Messages are moving at the speed of light, and we are hardly even aware of what we saw or heard that ever made us think eating fast food meant getting good food fast! Marketing is all around us - from the letters that appear in our mind when our stomach hurts. Yes, we know what spells relief to the jingle in our head when we think of the first and second name we give the meat in our sandwich. We have all done it, ran into the store to buy something, and called it out by the brand...not by the actual product name. When was the last time you were thinking of something, as simple as coffee, and Starbucks appeared in your mind? This, my friend, is what they call "savvy marketing" and it's as old as the day is long. The reason that marketing has been around for so long, is that for some odd reason, the more we keep something in the forefront of our mind, the more we inquire, the more we "Google" it, and the more we buy it - it is why we think that we're wearing Levis instead of jeans. Marketing is what people do to get us interested in the brand of their product. Marketing is what causes us to dream and imagine and wish. When someone markets a product or service to us, they are helping us to get more familiar with it. They are asking us to be really comfortable with hearing the brand, saying the brand, asking about the brand and eventually, leading us to a place where we find a NEED for just that brand. Marketing is the first step to a long-term relationship with any product, and the more product a person has to sell - the longer we may find ourselves involved in the relationship. Marketing is the most thought out component of any large selling campaign, because without this one step - the marketing - no-one knows that we're even there. The idea that once they know us and we know them (which seems like forever) is when we are able to like what we hear and trust what they have. Selling usually comes in right about here...the point of purchase. This is where we are helped to find the best solution for us. Selling is fine tuning the brand / product / service to fit our needs exclusively, and this is where some people start to shy away. Selling isnt always up close, but it IS personal. Selling, if done correctly, can create a lifetime of loyal product / service users, and should always be done with the utmost respect, trust and honor. Selling is what helps a consumer to decide if this product that has been marketed to them is really what they need AND if the pain they have is strong enough to get rid of, or if the pleasure is great enough to invest. Selling is the next step to that wonderful place called referrals, and that cant happen if we havent been able to deliver what we marketed our product to do. Our job when we market our product or service is to create for our client a reason to want to begin a relationship with us. They need to know. just by the sound of our brand, that we are worth pursuing. Not only do they need to be comfortable with what we are sharing, they also need to know that over and over again until they believe it for themselves. So, as we look at the way we are creating relationships with our future clients, look at the process in having them trust us. If we are skipping step one in relationship building (the marketing) then step two (selling), will be much more difficult - and step three (referrals & word of mouth) is then almost impossible. We may have the greatest product out on the market today, and it may very well be the one thing that solves all of the world's problems, BUT, if we havent figured out how to speak to people in a caring and comfortable way, they will never get the chance to know us, and people who dont know us will not buy from us! Marketing has to be the FIRST thing we do to make our product and relationship with our clients successful. My program Get Clients Now will help you to understand this process by consistently doing something every single day to ensure results. Anyone in the world By Adrienne Hughes There was a time in the world when mom or grandma would make their children's school clothes, repair garments by hand, and make stuffed animals and gifts for the neighbors. Children arrived on the first day of school wearing a new handmade dress or uniform. Their fashion dolls were dressed in clothing made of the same fabrics and stuffed animals were created from remnants or socks. Fast forward to the 21st century where most people's clothing, home decor items, and gifts are purchased at the local mall or department store. Brand names and trendy styles are what kids are wearing now. Today we live among a multi-tasking fast-paced generation where instant gratification is the norm. No longer do people have the time or the patience to sit in front of a sewing machine or grab a needle and thread to create hand-made items. People today are constantly on the go. Where did our mothers and grandmothers learn to sew? They were taught by their mothers, grandmothers, and even in a school. It wasn't until the late 1970's that we started seeing sewing education classes disappear from many school curriculums. During the 1970's and before, sewing was primarily viewed as "women's work". However, there came a time when women were longing to join the workforce and earn money working outside of the home like their male counterparts. Eventually, it became common to see families who had two parents working outside of the home. In two-parent working families, when would there be time to go back to the basics and sew? Parents were still responsible for home and family duties after working a 40-hour week which left little time for doing things "the old way". As a result, with more money coming into the household and less time to sew, families were buying their clothes and gifts off the shelf. As a child growing up, my mom was too tired and lacked the time and patience necessary to teach me how to sew. After all, it was much easier to just go to the store and buy whatever we needed. If children of my generation experienced family life as I did, how would we learn to sew and teach our children to sew? Better yet, how would we keep this tradition alive for years to come? Looking back, some of the most beautiful dresses I owned and the cutest outfits my Barbie dolls had came from grandma's sewing machine. I didn't know it then but handmade clothing was becoming scarce and I wish I would have treasured it more than I did. I have very few items left from grandma but I still have the handmade Barbie doll clothes. Something inside of me always yearned to sew. I wanted to create handmade items that would be carried through generations. I wanted to create items that had my personal touch and a quality you could no longer find on a store shelf. I wanted to pick the fabrics and lace and create beautiful dresses. When I went in search of someone in the family who could teach me, I didn't find anyone who still sewed or who was willing to teach me. I decided I would buy a sewing machine and teach myself. With the help of many books and a little trial and error, I became a self-taught seamstress. I began making my own clothes, making gifts for family, and making Barbie doll clothes for my nieces. The joy I derived from sharing my handmade treasures was more than I could hope for. As neighbors, friends, and family began to appreciate and treasure my love of sewing, I was finding that it reminded them of a time when their relatives created handmade items for them. Very few of them had any remnants of the items that were hand-crafted for them which made them appreciate my talent even more. Today, not only do I teach my younger family members how to sew, I sew Barbie doll clothes for my online store. I've been selling doll clothes online since 2001 and have received so many emails from appreciative customers who tell me what my hand crafted items mean to them. Even if people today do not have the time or skills to make hand-sewn items, I am able to bring my creations into their families which helps them to create new memories and traditions. My hope is that the handmade items I make for others not only bring them happy memories later in life but might also one day inspire them to learn how to sew. Anyone in the world By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Andrena_Markley]Andrena Markley Earlier, mobile phones used to be a novelty which was only used by the police officers in their patrol vans. Mobile phones were then known as car phones and their use was restricted due to their bulky sizes. But nowadays, their use has increased manifold with the advent of the Advanced Mobile Phone service or AMPS. According to a rough estimate, in UK alone, now there are more handsets than people. Mobile phones have become a part and parcel of our lives today. They have penetrated each and every aspect of our lives. We are using them for trivial tasks like making calls, listening to music and web browsing and for more significant purposes like making videos. Nobody would have thought in the 1980s that one day mobile phones will be used for video conferencing. It is understandable that mobile phones have made the landlines technology absolutely redundant. For buying a mobile phone there cannot be a better place than an online mobile shop. The quickest and the easiest way to buy a mobile phone, online mobile shops present you with a variety of options. Anyone in the world By Liz Ferris You have made the decision that you want to grow your ADR, mediation and/or collaborative practice. You want to attract more referrals for collaborative and mediation cases, spend less time in court and do more work that is in alignment with your interests and values. You have decided this is the year that you will transform your practice. However, there is one glitch; you already have a busy practice and you do not have a lot of extra time. What you would really like is a fast solution, a magic bullet to help you make this transformation. Is there a magic bullet for growing your practice? Something fast and quick that you can do or buy to help you transform your practice. The answer to this question is the same as the answer to the question of how you would transform any other area in your life. Health and fitness is one example that comes to mind. Lets say you wake up one day and decide that you are not satisfied with your health status, including your weight, diet and level of physical activity. You want to feel and look healthier. You might be tempted by the latest health fad or quick fix diet; however, you know from prior experience that the only effective way to increase your health and fitness is through ongoing, consistent attention to your diet, weekly physical activity, and a stress management regimen. In other words, to truly transform your health requires personal commitment and discipline. The same process applies to transforming your practice. It will only happen through personal commitment and discipline and it will require taking a step back from the day-to-day activities of your busy practice and answering the following three questions: Where are you today in relation to your practice goals?
Where do you want to be in the next 12-24-36 months?
How you will you get there? (What is your plan?) Where are you today? The first step to transforming your practice is performing a self assessment and answering the following questions: 1. Why do you want to grow your collaborative/mediation practice?
2. Why is this important to you?
3. What are your greatest strengths and opportunities for growing your practice?
4. What are your greatest weaknesses and barriers for growing your practice?
5. What are three things that, if you could do them better, would dramatically increase the success of your collaborative or mediation practice? Use the answers from number 1 and number 2 to clarify and internalize why it is important for you to transform your practice. Knowing these answers will help you to make the personal commitment necessary to transform your practice. On those days when you just do not want to go to the POD or group meeting or make that follow up call, look at the reasons you gave for wanting to grow your practice. How important is this to you? How badly do you want this? Connecting the activity to your personal values will help to motivate you to make the call, attend the meeting, etc. Where do you want to go? In the book, First Things First, Steven Covey says, You must first have a destination to reach one. Where do you want your practice to be in 12-24-36 months? Write these goals down and review them frequently. Use the goals to help you reach monthly or quarterly benchmarks. Track referrals, calls and new cases. Monitor your success and continually update your plan to accommodate what is working and not working. Embrace the journey and have fun along the way. Much of the excitement of making a transformation is the journey to get there. How will you get there? Identify your strengths and opportunities and integrate them into your plan. For example, if you are an excellent writer, use your strength to write articles to increase your visibility among your target market. If you are active on a board and well known in the community, how can you leverage this visibility to grow your practice? At the same time, be aware of your greatest barriers and weaknesses to growing your practice. If your greatest barrier is lack of confidence in your new skills as a collaborative professional, how will you address this barrier in your action plan? To create your plan, identify the three to four most important strategies for growing your practice, and then execute them consistently. If you were going to transform your lifestyle to be healthier, you might choose among the following activities -- walking 4-5 times a week, limiting alcohol intake, eating less sugar or fat, increasing time to meditate and relax , etc.. Similarly, if you want to transform your practice, you may want to choose from among the following critical strategies: Master your core message so it is clear what you do and the value you provide
Update your website so it effectively communicates your value and message
Identify your target market
Increase your visibility with targeted referral sources
Write articles of interest to your target market
Give presentations to groups who could benefit learning about collaborative practice or mediation services
Achieve excellence in your practice
Participate in your collaborative/mediation community. In summary, there is no magic bullet or quick fix to growing your collaborative and/or mediation practice. The good news is you can build a practice that is in alignment with your interests and goals by making a commitment to transform your practice and doing the activities that are consistent with that goal. The key is to take the time to be clear on your goals and implement the strategies that will bring you the greatest return on your investment of time and resources. It has been said that the difference between the major and minor leagues is just a matter of inches and consistency. That is essentially true of the difference between excellence and mere adequacy in poetry or surgery or anything else. George F. Will, newspaper columnist Liz Ferris, founder of Ferris Consulting, specializes in assisting attorneys, mental health professionals and financial specialists to grow their practice through result-oriented marketing and practice development strategies. Anyone in the world By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Jade_Amethyst]Jade Amethyst The growing demand for convenient phones to telecommunicate had led to the invention and manufacturing of cellphones. Remember how landline companies monopolized the national telecommunications industry in the past while those of you who cannot avail of telephone lines complained of their inefficiency regardless of your ability to pay telephone bills. It had reached a point when concerned consumers brought their influence to the making of the innovation in telecommunication industry. Gone are the days when you had to trouble yourselves from using the transportation system just to get in touch with people you need to talk to. An institution of gifted engineers and inventors however broke this monopoly to solve this national telecommunications problem that many considered as a major breakthrough. Imagine how much time and effort were saved to connect to people when another telecommunications company took the challenge of competition. This company with a promising advertisement in media tried to service phone lines to households where the pioneer telecommunications company failed short on some transmission lines in the past decades. But that wasnt the end of telecommunication trend. Soon enough, big telecommunication companies faced greater challenges with the entry of the cellular business. Now, the consumer has the option to choose which phone company is most convenient for him. This competition we could say is very much beneficial for the phone-user public. To anticipate the competitiveness of their businesses and of course to earn profits, telecommunications companies were driven to improve their services for continuous patronage of phone-users. Cellphone companies, aware of every consumers needs and wants, continue to evolve to satisfy consumers, and as a gesture of their appreciation to the phone-user public and Gods providence for making their business a success. They also undertake the responsibility to use exceeding profits for social work. Going back in the 1990s, only people who have the capacity to pay cellphone bills were given access to cellular telecommunications but a new technology called the phone prepaid powered by a SIM card system and prepaid card had created a big hit in the market particularly in other parts of the world. The prepaid phone, that gets credit from using prepaid cards, had had open the door to those consumers who would want to manage their consumption in a month. Its no wonder therefore that even our maids can now afford cellphones. So far the competition in the telecommunications industry has been fierce enough that some people terminate their landline in favor of cellular lines and the reason is that monthly bills for cellular lines are cheaper. You might want to compare he prices. Load your cellphone with a prepaid credit consumable for a month and compare your expenses to your monthly landline bill that is exclusive of NDD and IDD calls. Cellphones, particularly the one using prepaid cards, have other benefits aside from saving you from expensive monthly bills. They do not function exclusively to telecommunicate. Anytime people would like to contact you and you are not home to receive their calls on a landline phone, you can anytime pick their calls up with this handy gadget that you can take wherever you go, even while driving. Its always handy and you can always choose from a wide array of fancy designs with logos, pictures, wallpapers and cameras features excluded in landline phones. When your prepaid cellphones run out of credit, you can conveniently click your favorite online prepaid card stores anywhere. If you are using postpaid, you might call your customer service assistant to give you some temporary credits. Cellphones do remarkable services, sometimes more than what we bargain for. If you are not using much your landline and you want to trim down your expenses monthly, you might want to choose between keeping your handy phone or your home phone. As between postpaid phone and prepaid, you might be able to manage your charges when you go for a [http://www.flatrateonline.net/ ]prepaid card-powered phone. Weaknesses Let's first outline the cons of natural weight loss pills: There is a vast number of natural pills available. Facing such a vast choice makes it difficult to find the really effective and credible pills. Huge number of pills means there may be too many ineffective and fraudulent weight loss pills. Most of the natural weight loss pills are not approved by official organizations like FDA or MHRA. That means the effectiveness, as well as their possible side effects, will come to light only after those pills have already reached the market. We can hardly ever find natural pills that were clinically studied to confirm their claims. We have to "clinically test" their action on our bodies. There are many weight loss pills that contain natural ingredients yet dangerous to your health. Perfect example is ephedra, that intensify fat burning, still having a mix of side effects that can damage your health seriously.
Strengths Well, many natural pills really have the above mentioned weak points. Still natural weight loss pills become more and more popular, by virtue of great advantages before prescription weight loss drugs: Natural weight loss pills are available without prescription. They are the best choice if you decided to take weight loss into your own hands and you want to shed those unwanted pounds easier. If your health conditions are not restricted and excess weight doesn't treat your health seriously, the best you can do is to choose effective and credible slimming pills and combine them with healthy nutrition and exercising. As compared to chemical ingredients of prescription drugs, natural weight loss pills don't have side effects. You can take natural weight loss pills and don't be afraid for your health. Natural weight loss pills don't lead to tolerance (as prescription drugs do). You can take natural pill a lot longer and their efficacy won't go down. Some natural weight loss solutions contain the mixes of components that not only make you lose weight, but also support your organism in its weight loss efforts.
